Get Rid of Things You Don’t Use
The next thing that you should do is to get rid of everything that you don’t actually need. Do you need all of those drinking glasses? Do you have multiple of one item for no good reason? Now is the time to get rid. Everyone has an abundance of things that they might not actually need, so this is something that you should carefully consider.
Try to make this a regular thing. Perhaps every 6 months or so, you can go through everything and make sure that you are not holding on to things that you don’t need or use.
Make Sure Everything Has a Place
One of the best things that you can do is to make sure that every single item that you own has its own place. Whether that is your keys, underwear, or toiletries, everything should belong somewhere. Once you have decided on a home for everything, make sure that each item stays here unless it is in use. This will help you to limit unnecessary clutter.

Most people like to have a certain part of their week dedicated to cleaning their house, so why should an RV be any different? Clutter can easily build up if you are not cleaning and tidying your RV, so to avoid this, you should dedicate a certain day of the week, or a few hours of this day, to cleaning. Utilize Storage in Available Space
If you have any spare space in your RV, you should be sure to utilize it for storage, as this can help with space-saving. Have you got a shelf on the wall? How Do I Get More Counter Space in My RV?
Use a Stove or Sink Cover
When you are not using your sink or stove, you can easily turn it into usable counter space by getting yourself stovetop and sink covers. These are typically wooden boards that can be used to create additional space where your sink or stove should be. They can be used as cutting boards, or as a space to put things down.
They are typically made from either oak, bamboo, or Bordeaux, and they simply secure to your cooktop or over the sink with adjustable feet. They can also be removed just as easily when you need to cook or do your dishes.
Add a Counter Top Extension
Something else that you can do is to add a counter top extension if you don’t want to have to keep adding and removing stove and sink covers. These countertop extensions can then be mounted to the counter, and they then add an extra 12 or so inches of space.
These extensions will pull up when you need them in use, and they will then lock into place. When you are not using them, they can simply fold down out of the way. You can find these online, or if you are good at DIY, you could even make one yourself.
Hang Things Under and Inside Cabinets
Another great way to free up space is by hanging things underneath or inside of your kitchen cabinets. You could hang up things like a paper towel holder, baskets for holding things, a hanging fruit basket, and so much more.
Dry Your Dishes Over the Sink
If you are not living in luxury with a dishwasher at your disposal, then you might want to consider using a dish drainer over the top of the sink, instead of using one that goes on the counter, taking up valuable space. These are also usually collapsable, so you can fold them away when they are not in use.
Use Your Table For Extra Space
When you are cooking, you can always utilize the space that is available on your dinette or table, and this will help to free up more space in the kitchen. You can also purchase a small folding table for this purpose.
