Are Polaris 570 Any Good?

Polaris shines as a leading manufacturer of ATVs and UTVs, particularly with its 570 series. The Sportsman and Ranger models, featured in this lineup, are especially well-received.

However, we’re well aware that people use ATVs for different reasons – some for utility, some for pleasure, some for speed – which is why you’ll have some people who prefer Yamaha to Polaris, and others who say Polaris are king.

Whether you’re looking for a sturdy ATV like the Sportsman, or a workhorse like the Ranger, we’re pretty sure there’s a Polaris motor out there to suit your needs.

Today though we’ll be focusing on the 570 series, and, to give you a better idea of the Polaris 570, we’ve answered the most frequently asked questions on the web regarding this popular series.

Who are Polaris?

Polaris were established back in 1954 in a market that was at the time dominated by Japanese names. At the beginning, Polaris specialized in snowmobiles, but over the years they’ve broadened their range to encompass ATVs and UTVs too.

Operating out of their headquarters in Minnesota, Polaris are now a global leader and are considered one of the top ATV manufacturers in the industry, known for their quality, power, and sturdiness.

Today they’re a company made up of 30 brands and multiple services who have shaped Polaris as a major influencer on powersports and an industry leader.

In more recent years, Polaris has branched out to manufacture commercial and military vehicles, as well as electric vehicles, which speaks volumes for its innovation and reliability as a company.

Are Polaris 570 any good?

As we said, the Polaris Sportsman 570 is one of the most popular ATVs on the market, and we can confirm that yes – it is good. Its crowning glory is the legendary suspension that delivers the smoothest ride, absorbing bumps of all sizes.

The Sportsman also boasts the industry’s fastest engaging on-demand all-wheel-drive system with an increased class-leading ground clearance that provides more traction and is able to ride over even bigger obstacles.

If that wasn’t enough, the 570 comes in various editions to cater to a range of ATV needs: there’s the 570 Sportsman EPS with High-output electronic power steering, the 570 premium with upgraded features, and the 570 hunt edition, with a factory-equipped Kolpin Gun Boot, Rhino Grips, and more.

Does the Polaris Ranger 570 have enough power?

Polaris’ Ranger 570 is considered one of the best UTVs on the market and is designed with power at its core.  Driven by a purpose-built ProStar 570 engine, it delivers best-in-class power and performance with 44 HorsePower and smooth low-end torque.

The True On-Demand All Wheel Drive gives you the traction you need right when you need it, plus it has hauling power that can handle jobs of any size, whether big or small.

It’s equipped with a standard 2″ hitch receiver capable of towing up to 1,500 lb with a 500 lb gas-assist dump box, allowing you to unload your cargo with ease.

The Polaris 570 definitely has enough power and is the perfect powerhouse for day-to-day work.

How fast is Polaris 570?

The Polaris Sportsman 570 is a powerful vehicle that’s able to handle a range of tasks such as towing and hauling. It has a top speed of 63 mph and 44 horsepower, so it’s pretty fast. The 570 also has a 0-60 time of 11.5 seconds, which is pretty impressive.

Of course, it’s not the fastest ATV, as it’s designed with power in mind more so than speed, but it’s certainly fast enough to get you from A to B efficiently.

And if you’re looking for an ATV that can adapt between leisure and utility, you can’t go too far wrong with the Sportsman 570.

However, speed also depends on the model you choose, and there are a few Sportsman variations to choose from.  For example, the Sportsman XP 1000 can reach top speeds of 79 MPH and has a 0-60 time of 6-7 seconds, while the Sportsman 850 peaks at around 66 MPH and offers a 0-60 time of 10 seconds.

The Sportsman 450 has a lower top speed of 57 MPH and it will reach this in about 11 seconds.

How much is a 2020 Polaris 570?

The 2020 Polaris 570 ATV starts at $6,899 US MSRP, and this increases if you opt for the EPS or premium versions, which offer more features.

This is considered a pretty affordable price point for an ATV, and with the Sportsman you’re getting superb handling, 9.5” of Suspension Travel to handle whatever the trail throws at you, and 1,225 lb in Towing Capacity.

Overall, the Sportsman offers sufficient power delivery, unshakeable grip, and superb features, all at a very reasonable price point – meaning you get great bang for your buck, so in our opinion, you can’t go too far wrong.

If you’re looking for a UTV like the Polaris 570 Ranger, this will cost you slightly more – around $10,199 US MSRP.  With the Ranger, you’ll get the purpose-built ProStar 570 engine which offers 44 HP, as well as True On-Demand All Wheel Drive to give you the traction you need to tackle a range of terrains.

Final Verdict

The Polaris 570 series is reliable and durable and offers a range of models for different needs.

The main benefit of the Polaris 570 which unites both the Sportsman and the Ranger models is power. These vehicles are built with the power to tackle anything you throw at them: whether it’s towing, lifting, or tackling difficult terrain.

The Polaris 570 range offers not only a sturdiness that you’ll be hard pushed to find elsewhere, but also affordability.

These are some of the most affordable ATVs and UTVs on the market, but they also happen to be some of the smoothest and easiest to drive, too.
